About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at O/A Petro Canada/A&W Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that kitchen operations run efficiently.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet customer demand.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and reducing costs.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that kitchen operations are financially sustainable.
    • Prepare and submit reports, providing insights and recommendations for improving kitchen performance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 44 hours per week. The work language is English, and you will be working in a food service establishment, specifically a fast food outlet or concession.
