About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Select Sandwich Corporate Catering. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our cafeteria, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate records of stock and inventory.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all employees are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely reports to management.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries and inventory reports.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
