Position Overview:

The Arbitration Specialist will play a crucial role in managing new arbitration cases by collecting information and evidence to assist in resolving disputes between buyers and sellers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Thoroughly document customer claims and grievances.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and customer support.
  3. Keep customers informed about the status and timeline of their arbitration cases.
  4. Coordinate vehicle inspections and diagnostics based on reported issues and seek second opinions when necessary.
  5. Compile all pertinent information to facilitate negotiations and resolutions between parties.
  6. Understand and communicate arbitration policies, guiding customers through the arbitration process.
  7. Stay informed about relevant legislation concerning the sale of goods and motor vehicle dealer regulations across various provinces.
  8. Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all customer claims, complaints, and resolution details.
  9. Work closely with the Arbitration Specialist and sales team to ensure effective communication and customer service.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Experience in dispute resolution or within the automotive sector; familiarity with auto auctions is a plus.
  3. Knowledge of automobile brands, mechanics, and structures is preferred.
  4. Exceptional skills in dispute resolution are essential.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.
  6. Proficient report writing and composition skills are necessary.
  7. Experience with Google applications including Sheets, Docs, and Gmail is essential.
  8. Excellent organizational and management skills.
  9. Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  10. Fluency in French is an asset, though not mandatory for this role.
