Senior Project Manager Rail Traffic Management

The City of Ottawa's Rail Construction Program is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the traffic works of the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit (LRT) project. As a key member of the program team, you will be responsible for managing multiple phases of the project, overseeing works, and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the traffic works of the Stage 2 LRT project, including planning, prioritization, and risk management.
- Oversee works associated with multiple phases of the project, including site coordination and communication.
- Ensure compliance with all requirements, including national, provincial, and engineering codes and standards.
- Interface with contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
- Monitor, track, and report on project status, and perform site visits to ensure quality and progress.
- Develop, schedule, and implement oversight and inspection programs to assess the performance, quality, and progress of the Stage 2 LRT project traffic works.
- Direct and supervise in-house staff in day-to-day functions, including training, planning assignments, and providing technical direction and support.
- Manage the project's traffic budget and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Completion of a 4-year university degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, or Architecture, from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the discipline of planning, design, and construction of projects, including a minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience.
- Desirable qualifications include experience in Light Rail and experience with SAP-PS.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Licensed Architect with Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is desirable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- LEED AP (Accredited Professional) with Green Building Certification Inc. (GBCI) is an asset.
