Job Summary

The City of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Rail Construction Program as a Project Manager, Rail Traffic Management. This is a key role that will be responsible for overseeing the traffic management aspects of the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve traffic control plans and staging design drawings
  • Monitor and track traffic works, performing site visits as necessary
  • Collaborate with the City's traffic services team and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize traffic impacts on the public
  • Manage and resolve traffic-related issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • 4-year university degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning, with a transportation focus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic-related project management, with at least 3 years in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning and management principles, including traffic control plans and staging design drawings
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
