Job Summary

The City of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the Rail Traffic Management project. This is a critical role that requires expertise in project management, traffic management, and construction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project's traffic works, overseeing multiple phases, and ensuring compliance with all requirements. They will also be responsible for interfacing with contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders, and monitoring and reporting on project status.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, traffic management, and construction, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project's traffic works, including planning, prioritization, and risk management
  • Oversee multiple phases of the project, including construction and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements, including traffic codes and standards
  • Interface with contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on project status, including progress and issues
Requirements
  • 4-year university degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, or Architecture
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in project management, traffic management, and construction
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
