About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Manager to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our Grocery Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees and ensuring the safe and effective operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive shopping experience
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock levels to ensure efficient operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Monitor and control expenses to achieve budget targets
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve departmental performance
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the retail food industry
  • Food Safe Certification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a cool and damp environment
