About The Opportunity:
We are seeking highly motivated and versatile individuals to provide administrative support to our City Departments, including Finance, Administrative Services, Civic Facilities & Events, Planning and Development, and Civic Operations. As a member of our Casual Administrative Pool, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, from reception and front counter duties to more complex administrative tasks and special projects.
About Your Background:
To be successful in this role, you will have completed a post-secondary vocational or college program in business, bookkeeping, office administration, or a related field, or possess a degree or diploma in business, finance, or a related field. You will also have a minimum of two years' experience in an administrative position, be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and enjoy taking on new challenges and meeting new people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to City Departments, including reception, front counter duties, and complex administrative tasks
- Work on a variety of assignments, including special projects and events
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with City policies, procedures, and initiatives
