Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Lead Hand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping and Receiving Lead Hand to join our team at BE Power Equipment in London, Ontario. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading and executing the daily activities of our busy Shipping and Receiving team, as well as overseeing inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute daily operations of the warehouse and small team with shipping, receiving, and general material handling.
  • Ensure proper quality control checks on inbound foreign shipments.
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to while promoting a positive Safety culture.
  • Manage all inbound materials and accurately record them in our ERP system.
  • Ensure all finished goods are shipped in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Actively manage employees to achieve high levels of quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Handle employee concerns and issues, including incident reports and documentation.
  • Plan daily requirements to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
  • Assist with the onboarding training of new employees.
  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, as required.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of lead hand experience in a fast-paced material handling/shipping/receiving/logistics environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of shipping product both domestic and international.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with customs paperwork and EPA regulations.
  • Ability to communicate at a professional level using the English language.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
