Position: Team Leader - Shipping and Receiving

We are seeking a Team Leader to join our Warehouse team. This role involves leading a shift team in a high-performance environment, ensuring the overall effectiveness of a team managing multiple lines. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, quality, process reliability, sanitation, and material yield. The Team Leader will actively promote continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will coach, train, and ensure compliance with established procedures, demonstrating respect for all team members' capabilities. A structured approach based on the belief that the organization's success relies on the contributions of all individuals is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and human resources policies
  • Utilize the McCormick High Performance System (MHPS) to foster teamwork and engagement
  • Plan and support daily activities to meet operational goals and initiatives
  • Facilitate daily team meetings and maintain communication with management regarding team performance
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and best practices
  • Resolve daily issues and coordinate with maintenance for necessary repairs
  • Provide input for team evaluations and development plans
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate problem-solving processes
  • Be available for overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of packaging and processing equipment
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with formal training preferred
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning tools is beneficial
  • Ability to operate all equipment within the facility.
