Position Overview

Salary Range - $

As a Logistics Coordinator and Delivery Driver, your primary responsibility will be to manage the picking, packing, shipping, and delivery of customer orders. You will need to demonstrate exceptional customer service and effective communication skills. Deliveries will be conducted using company vehicles, and familiarity with the surrounding areas is essential to ensure timely service. A keen attention to detail is crucial for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations while executing job duties.
  • Load and unload vehicles, operate forklifts, and utilize other material handling equipment.
  • Engage in picking, packing, and shipping tasks, which include:
    • Selecting materials for customer orders, verifying quantities against shipping documents.
    • Preparing materials for shipment or pickup by assembling and packing them appropriately.
    • Completing necessary documentation for shipments requiring third-party carriers or Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  • Notify the Supervisor of any discrepancies in inventory or any damaged materials that could affect service quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment by disposing of empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other waste.
  • Report any safety concerns within the warehouse to the Warehouse Supervisor or Profit Centre Manager.
  • Assist colleagues in providing service to customers at the counter.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; a college or university degree is an asset.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to develop thorough product knowledge.
  • Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize the software systems for order processing.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience or knowledge of HVAC and building products.
  • Familiarity with software such as Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
