Restaurant Host/Hostess Job Description

Veg Delight Pizza Bakery & Restaurant Limited is seeking a skilled Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide information about menu items and preparation methods.
  • Table Management: Receive reservations, assign tables, and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Cash Handling: Balance and deposit cash, receive payments from customers, and maintain a secure and accurate cash handling system.
  • Teamwork: Liaise between chefs and customers, assist with special needs, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve excellent service standards.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge in customer service, cash handling, and teamwork.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts.
