We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Billing and Insurance Specialist. As a key member of our Lendcare subsidiary, you will play a crucial role in managing our insurance claims and customer interactions with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master the insurance claim process, ensuring accurate file tagging, diligent follow-up, and effective liaison with insurance companies to expedite claim resolution.
- Provide expert assistance to customers filing Loss of Employment, Disability, and Sickness and Injury Claims, ensuring a smooth and empathetic process.
- Conduct outbound calls to customers to verify loan information, utilizing a comprehensive questionnaire to support insurance claim activities.
- Facilitate information exchange with insurance companies, supplying necessary documentation, and engaging in professional correspondence to secure timely insurance payments on behalf of customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through phone and email communications, offering insightful information and tailored solutions to account-related inquiries.
- Generate and distribute critical billing documents to customers, including balance and release letters, transaction history, payment schedules, and contracts.
- Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions, transactions, feedback, and complaints, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Accurately document and update account information pertinent to active insurance claims initiated by customers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, or support roles.
- Familiarity with insurance processes and claims handling is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Asset and Edge software platforms is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Capable of multitasking, setting priorities, and managing time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be available to work full-time at our office.
