Billing and Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing and Collections Representative to join our team at LendCare, a subsidiary of goeasy Ltd. This is a pivotal role that will play a crucial part in maintaining our company's financial health.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Engaging with customers through phone and email to deliver exceptional service and resolve inquiries related to their accounts.
- Generating and distributing key billing documents, including balance and release letters, transaction histories, payment schedules, and contracts.
- Recording and organizing customer interactions, financial transactions, feedback, and complaints for systematic tracking and resolution.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of Collection Agents and contributing to the improvement of collection strategies and customer service procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with company protocols through meticulous file reviews and follow-ups.
- Accurately processing payments and verifying account details to confirm proper setup and documentation.
- Managing account restructures, including data entry in Asset system, preparation of addendums, and customer confirmation of revised loan terms.
- Identifying and annotating accounts to facilitate the debt sale process and enhance debt recovery efforts.
- Proactively detecting and addressing potential fraud or discrepancies in customer transactions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of one year's experience in customer service, administrative, or support roles.
- Familiarity with Asset and Edge systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Availability to work full-time at our Pickering, ON office.
The successful candidate will be required to work a standard Monday to Friday schedule with one 1:00 – 9:00 PM shift within the week and one Saturday a month from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
