About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Ruskin Enterprises Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction process, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, ensuring that they meet the required specifications.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, working closely with our experienced construction team.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring that the site is prepared for construction.
  • Pave and rake asphalt, ensuring that the surface is smooth and even.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, safely and efficiently removing debris and materials.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring that they are stored safely and securely.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring that the site is safe and accessible for all personnel.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, or equivalent.
  • Will train, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to work outdoors, in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to heights, confined spaces, noise, dust, and heat.
  • Own vehicle, with a valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and work to high standards.
  • Hand-eye coordination, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
