About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Wiseman Mechanicals Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Task Support: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, and perform routine maintenance work.
  • Health and Safety: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and work in underground, confined spaces, and noisy environments.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move materials weighing up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in underground, confined spaces, and noisy environments.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, team player, and hardworking attitude.
  • Training: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
Work Arrangements
  • Duration: Permanent position.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
