About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Care: Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients on the MASTRS/OASIS unit, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities: Take on leadership roles, directing the work of others and ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely and effectively administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct Clinical Assessments: Perform thorough clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Engage with Patients and Families: Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Education: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree.
  • Experience and Certifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience working with mood and anxiety patients, with a Mental Health Nursing certificate and CPR/Basic Rescuer certification.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong assessment and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
