Job Summary

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a passion for mental health nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will possess strong assessment skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health needs, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health nursing, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Mental Health Nursing certificate preferred.
  • BScN and CPMHN(C) preferred.
  • 2+ years recent experience in Emergency Mental Health/Acute Assessment preferred.
  • Strong assessment skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
