Duties

  1. Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  2. Coordinate and schedule all maintenance activities, working closely with maintenance personnel, operations teams, and external contractors.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for all maintenance work.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and associated costs.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades.
  6. Procure necessary maintenance supplies and equipment, coordinating with vendors as needed.
  7. Participate in developing and implementing maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  8. Analyze equipment downtime and identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes.
  9. Estimate labor hours, tools, and resources needed for maintenance tasks.
  10. Develop and maintain a spare parts inventory system.
  11. Other maintenance department supports and supervisory tasks as required.

Requirements

  1. 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or a related field.
  2. Strong organizational and planning skills. Working knowledge of refrigeration and pressure systems in a food product facility is an asset.
  3. Work effectively with minimal supervision.
  4. Ability to supervise and direct employees.
  5. Able to engage effectively with all levels of departments.
  6. Creative and solution-based problem-solving skills.
  7. Result-oriented, focused on business needs.
  8. Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  9. Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  10. Must be available to support all shifts and on weekends.
  11. Experience with Microsoft, Logix platforms would be an asset.
  12. Proficiency in English – spoken, writing, reading, and comprehension essential.
  13. Overtime may be required on occasion, based on activity levels.
