Scheduler - Service Team

As a Service Scheduler at Prime Boiler Services, your primary responsibility is to support the efficient execution of service operations by ensuring seamless coordination of schedules and resources.
Working closely with the Service Planner out of our Red Deer location, you will play a vital role in organizing and optimizing the daily workflow of field technicians. Your tasks include managing service requests, assigning work orders, and maintaining open communication with both internal teams and customers. By utilizing scheduling software and maintaining a keen eye for detail, you will contribute to the overall effectiveness and responsiveness of our service delivery.
Your ability to adapt to changing priorities, prioritize urgent requests, and foster effective collaboration with the Service Planner will be essential in maintaining operational excellence and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
**What you will be doing in the role**:
**Schedule Coordination**:
- Efficiently schedule and dispatch field service technicians based on expertise, location, and urgency.
- Collaborate with the Service Planner to ensure optimal allocation of resources.
**Customer Interaction**:
- Communicate with customers to understand service needs and schedule appointments.
- Provide timely updates to customers on technician arrival times and service status.
**Workflow Management**:
- Prioritize and organize service requests to meet response time targets.
- Anticipate and address potential scheduling conflicts or resource shortages.
**Data Management**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in scheduling software.
- Update and track service orders, work orders, and technician availability.
**Problem Resolution**:
- Address scheduling issues in real-time, such as emergencies or unforeseen changes.
- Collaborate with the Service Planner to find alternative solutions to disruptions.
**-Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some roles may require post-secondary education or relevant certifications.
**Certifications**:
- Certification in scheduling or project management may be advantageous.
- Familiarity with industry-specific certifications (e.g., scheduling software, project management tools).
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in scheduling, coordination, or a related field.
- Exposure to service or maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and tools.
