Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner to join our team at Nova Chemicals in Joffre, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed job plans and packages for routine maintenance, major maintenance, construction, and turnaround execution teams. This is a long-term maintenance contract with a competitive compensation package, including vacation pay, RRSP's, health & dental benefits, and a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure optimal asset performance and reliability
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance activities
* Develop detailed job plans and packages for routine maintenance, major maintenance, construction, and turnaround execution teams
* Identify and mitigate safety risks associated with maintenance activities
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and asset performance

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in mechanical planning and scheduling
* Expert knowledge of EAM/CMMS software (SAP 1909) and Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

* Working at heights, in and around noise, dust, indoor and outdoor in hot and cold weather conditions
* Working in a confined space
* Personal safety equipment required, including steel-toed safety boots
