**Instrument Planner - Contract Position**

**Central Alberta Region (Local applicants only)**

**Accepting employees & DSPs**
- The planner is to use best practices to assist with the development of work plans (Both Turnaround & Maintenance).
- Develop detailed work plans and produce high-quality job packages for corrective and preventative maintenance work requests
- Walk down and review the work request to gather all the information needed to produce a quality plan.
- Determine all resource and material requirements.
- Interact with all key stakeholders/customers (maintenance, technical, operations, scheduling etc.).
- Creates, uses and maintains plant history and other technical information to include in current job plans.
- Ensure the plans allow for the efficient assignment, scheduling and execution of maintenance work.
- Works closely with the Scheduler, Specialists, and Maintenance Leads and Operations Coordinators to accurately determine work activities.
- Evaluates job feedback to archive and improve future work.
- Provide input and maintain planning standards.
- Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders and departments, ensuring alignment to the planning process.

**Skills & Experience**
- Planning experience using SAP is required.
- Journeyman Instrument Technician/Technologist with moderate field experience and planning experience using SAP
- Experience in planning for multiple crafts is preferred. (Electrical/Instrumentation).
- Knowledge of valve rebuilds/repairs an asset.
- Strong organizational and effective time management skills.
- Flexibility in managing changing priorities and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be willing and able to work in a strong team environment.
- Good communicator and effective at building and maintaining positive relationships.
