About the Role

Sinai Health is seeking an experienced administrative professional to provide high-level support to the Microbiologists in the Microbiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day operations for microbiologists, including prioritizing tasks and managing conflicts
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering and screening phone inquiries, and forwarding emails to the appropriate team members
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for microbiologists, ensuring conflicts are identified and managed
  • Coordinate patient and visitor appointments, greeting and organizing their needs as required
  • Manage the dictation system for preparation of letters, documents, and reports
  • Review and manage incoming correspondence with discretion and tact
  • Schedule meetings, book space, and support meeting preparation
  • Coordinate payroll processing for office employees
  • Manage office financial accounts and cost centers, including OHIP billing, AEF deposits, and HOCC payments
  • Create and maintain an organized filing system, retrieving files and documents as required
Requirements
  • College diploma in a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum five years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a clinic or healthcare environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent work ethic, professionalism, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong time management, organizational, and self-planning skills
