Field Training Specialist

Position Overview:

The Field Training Specialist is responsible for delivering hands-on training and mentorship to newly hired Pest Specialists, ensuring they are well-equipped to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive on-the-job training for new Pest Specialists during their initial weeks, ensuring adherence to training protocols and completion of necessary evaluations.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance through regular check-ins and collaborative meetings throughout the first year of employment.
  • Successfully completing the Rentokil Initial Field Training Certification Program, including biannual recertification requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

As a Field Trainer (Weeks 1-6 of Trainee's Employment):

  • Participate in ride-alongs with potential job candidates during the selection process.
  • Arrive prepared and punctual for all training sessions.
  • Deliver effective training and constructive feedback promptly.
  • Maintain weekly communication with the Trainee's supervisor.
  • Complete weekly assessments and sign-offs for training checklists.

As a Peer Support (Weeks 6 to 1 Year):

  • Establish a strong professional relationship with the Trainee.
  • Be accessible via phone or text to address any questions or concerns from the Trainee.
  • Assist in setting clear expectations for the Trainee throughout their training journey.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition from Trainee to a competent team member.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Trainee's supervisor.

*The Field Training Specialist must be designated as the Primary Peer Support, and the Trainee must remain employed for a minimum duration.

Qualifications:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of one year of experience with Rentokil Initial as a Pest Specialist.
  • Completion of the Rentokil Initial Career Advancement Program (Career Level 4 or 5).
  • Possession of a valid state/province applicator license with the appropriate categories.
  • Positive evaluations from the most recent performance review.
  • Demonstration of professionalism in all interactions.
