Job Overview

The role involves managing physician directives, maintaining patient records, processing payroll documentation, and overseeing the procurement and arrangement of medical supplies. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of one (1) year of recent relevant clerical experience in a healthcare environment, or a recent Medical Office Administration Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Medical Terminology Certification is mandatory.
  • A typing speed of at least 30 words per minute is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook email is required.
  • Fast and precise data entry skills are necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a dynamic setting is required.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including prolonged sitting, pushing and pulling various wheeled equipment, repetitive bending, hand/arm movements, dexterity, and lifting/carrying items weighing up to 25lbs.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.
  • Demonstrated public relations skills and the ability to respond diplomatically to inquiries from physicians, staff, and families in a demanding environment.
  • A satisfactory employment record and good attendance history are necessary.

Work Schedule: Shifts are scheduled from Monday to Sunday, consisting of 8-hour shifts; hours may vary based on operational requirements.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage.
