About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Unit Director to lead our Buildings Engineering team in Canada. As a key member of our Places Business Area, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and implementing strategies, and leading a team of senior specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Growth and Strategy: Develop and implement a business plan to drive profitable growth in the Buildings Engineering business unit, aligning with our Places strategy and financial targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of senior specialists, ensuring they have the necessary skills to deliver program objectives.
  • Client Relationships: Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction, driving organic revenue growth.
  • Talent Management: Identify and develop talent within the business unit, promoting career development and ensuring the team has the necessary skills to deliver program objectives.
  • Risk Management: Lead the identification and management of risk in service delivery, ensuring compliance with governance processes and maintaining a safe and respectful working environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A licensed Professional Engineer or Architect in Canada, with at least 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership capability, with the ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate significant leadership skills.
  • Commercial Skills: Excellent commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
