Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Grocery Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning and organizing the grocery department to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensuring accurate pricing and signage of merchandise to prevent errors and maintain customer trust.
  • Following proper food safety and handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure a safe shopping environment.
  • Adhering to sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic store environment.
  • Assisting with ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensuring the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
