About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at A1 Indian Grocery. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, train, and develop a team of sales associates to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Financial Management: Authorize payments, manage cash, and oversee payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately recorded and easily accessible to customers.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that customers leave the store satisfied.
  • Store Operations: Establish work schedules, supervise and coordinate activities of workers, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Working Conditions
  • 3-4 people supervised
  • Permanent work term
  • English language required
  • 30 hours per week
