The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Energy Consultant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Lead Energy Consultant will assume a pivotal role, overseeing substantial projects, mentoring junior staff, and applying industry expertise to drive technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and teams.
  • Develop and manage work plans.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and are ready for presentation.
  • Take ownership of overall project outcomes.

Technical Leadership

  • Comprehend the technical aspects of Posterity Group's projects and ensure effective integration across work packages.
  • Innovate and refine technical methodologies for analysis.
  • Conduct quality assurance on project outputs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate client meetings and presentations.
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, comprehensive, and tailored to the audience.

Team Development

  • Guide and mentor junior staff to enhance their technical and leadership skills.
  • Lead and coach project teams.

Business Development

  • Utilize personal networks to support sales efforts and advance Posterity Group's mission.
  • Promote thought leadership in key subject areas aligned with Posterity Group's strategic focus.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Engineering, Data Science, Policy, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a technical leadership capacity, preferably in consulting, energy analysis, or demand-side management.
  • Proven track record in project management, budget oversight, and client relationship management.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and performing quantitative analyses.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Must possess a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
