About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Childcare Administrator to join our team at Saplings Outdoor Program. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our childcare operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Perform accounting tasks, including payroll, account reconciliation, and banking. Create monthly invoices and track accounts receivable.
  • Administrative Support: Set up projects in accounting, time tracking, and collaboration systems. Support onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to accounting. Perform administrative tasks to manage the organization, such as ordering supplies.
  • Financial Statement Creation: Prepare financial statements and notices for employees.
  • Benefits Administration: Enroll new staff into the benefits plan and ensure employees understand the company's benefits packages, administration system, and employment rights and options.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable roles.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask and work under time constraints.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with group booking software such as Amilia. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and payroll rules and regulations. Preference for individuals with an understanding of childcare regulations, specifically regarding childcare subsidies.
