About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Specialist to join our team at Vale Canada. As a key member of our Base Metals business, you will be responsible for providing expert risk management advice and guidance to support the achievement of our strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management principles and practices, as well as experience in managing complex risk portfolios. You will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing assurance that our risk management systems are operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to support the achievement of our strategic objectives
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with our Base Metals business
  • Provide assurance that our risk management systems are operating effectively
  • Lead the development of risk management practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address risk-related issues
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in risk management
  • Experience in managing complex risk portfolios
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
