About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Advisor to join our team at Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum. As a Business Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering support to individuals and businesses in Cornwall, specifically third sector organisations, under our Outset brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver support to individuals and businesses in Cornwall, including third sector organisations, community interest companies, voluntary and charitable organisations.
  • Provide a friendly and supportive service to help individuals gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to sustain or grow a business.
  • Work closely with the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub and Cornwall Council's Good Growth Programme to deliver business support services.
  • Develop and deliver business support sessions and workshops, both online and face-to-face, to engage groups and individuals.
  • Convey knowledge effectively through a range of sessions and workshops, and 1:1 sessions.
Requirements
  • Strong business, third sector and functional expertise.
  • Proven abilities in engaging groups and individuals, and conveying knowledge effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
