Position Responsibilities:

This role involves evening and weekend shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, with advance notice of your schedule for rotating shifts.

As a Medical Radiation Technologist / Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist at Insight, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of reliable, accurate, and compassionate services to our patients and referring physicians.

You will work within a team that values high-quality radiological examinations, requiring minimal supervision and a proactive approach to your imaging responsibilities. Your focus will be on providing safe and efficient radiological services while minimizing patient discomfort.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute a range of standardized and complex procedures as directed by Radiologists and referring Physicians. Oversee the operation and basic maintenance of all imaging equipment. Ensure all diagnostic imaging equipment is functioning properly. Maintain safety and cleanliness in the radiographic area, with a focus on radiation safety and infection control. Manage computer systems and perform all necessary office duties. Educate patients on the procedures being performed. Assist in training new staff and students as needed. Uphold quality control in all procedures performed. Provide support to Radiologists and colleagues as required. Restock inventory supplies in examination rooms. Ensure general patient care and safety. Report any inventory shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and results. Willingness to cross-train in additional areas as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong commitment to patient care excellence and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards. Ability to handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Capable of maintaining composure in high-pressure or emotional circumstances. Professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues. Clinical proficiency in medical radiography. Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging practices. Proficient in computer applications. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to support team efforts as necessary. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Effective organization and prioritization of tasks. Capacity to multitask and work independently. Self-motivated and directed. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and punctual.

Qualifications:

MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing with relevant professional bodies. Certification in medication preparation is advantageous. CPR and Standard First Aid certification is beneficial.
