Job Summary

This part-time or full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work as a Medical Radiation Technologist / Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist at Insight Medical Imaging. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized and complex procedures, operating and maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the radiographic area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and perform radiological examinations, including standardized and complex procedures.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, including digital imaging systems.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the radiographic area, adhering to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
  • Provide patient care and instruction, including explaining examination procedures and results.
  • Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by the Modality General Manager.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the efficient operation of the diagnostic imaging department.
Requirements
  • MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), the Association of Canadian Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies (ACMDTT), or the Association of Canadian Clinical Laboratory Technologists (ACCLXT).
  • Medication preparation certificate an asset.
  • CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.
