Position Summary:
As an Automotive Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating parts orders for vehicle servicing and collision repairs. You will collaborate closely with our service team to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients. This role requires a personable approach as you will engage in consumer sales and help expand the dealership's business connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory and order parts efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers both in-person and over the phone.
- Identify customer needs to locate necessary parts or services and recommend additional options.
- Monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies, and handle special orders as required.
- Assist the Parts Manager in reconciling discrepancies between digital inventory and physical stock.
- Gather information for special orders and ensure accurate sourcing of parts.
- Research availability of parts within the dealership and from external sources as needed.
- Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere focused on delivering outstanding service to Parts, Service, and Sales customers.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in an automotive dealership or Parts Department.
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary program or training is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CDK and Star Parts software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Parts and Service operations and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to integrity and reliability.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and resourceful.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and prolonged standing.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
