The Chemical Engineer is currently looking for a Safety Process Engineer to enhance our team within the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be involved in various projects spanning the oil and gas industry, energy transition, and petrochemical sectors.

We are in search of seasoned engineers who possess the motivation and dedication to significantly impact our performance throughout the entire project lifecycle, including the study phase, detailed business management, front-end engineering design, and detailed engineering. The Chemical Engineer distinguishes itself from competitors by delivering high-quality projects that meet client expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions including HAZID, What-IF, HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL.
  • Conduct fire and hazard assessments for facilities.
  • Contribute to fire and gas detection system layouts and firewater design.
  • Engage in model reviews and provide insights on human factors and egress.
  • Oversee the resolution of risk actions and recommendations arising from PHA.
  • Execute consequence analysis and dispersion modeling.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Interface with clients effectively.
  • Complete conceptual studies through to detailed engineering phases.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in facilitating PHA.
  • Proficiency in using PHA Pro software.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant engineering association.
  • At least 5 years of experience primarily in refining, petrochemicals, or oil & gas sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • General understanding of process engineering principles.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Capability to coordinate with team members across various locations on multiple projects.
  • Experience in firewater design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with consequence analysis and dispersion modeling is a plus.
  • Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL rating studies is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with PHAST or similar software is preferred.
  • Experience in front-end engineering design and detailed engineering projects is preferred.
