The Chemical Engineer is currently in search of a Lead Metallurgical Engineer to enhance our team focused on water and wastewater management.

The ideal candidate will participate in diverse projects spanning various sectors, including energy, petrochemicals, and environmental sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing advanced technical knowledge to execute engineering tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Conducting sizing for process equipment and optimizing control strategies to aid in the development of process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
  • Collaborating with various engineering disciplines and engaging with clients effectively.
  • Managing projects from conceptual studies through to detailed engineering, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Overseeing a team of engineers, providing mentorship and support to junior and intermediate staff.
  • Reviewing all engineering outputs to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Maintaining regular updates on project status, resource allocation, and coordination with external offices.
  • Staying informed about advancements in technical skills and emerging technologies in the field.

The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of water treatment methodologies and water chemistry, particularly in relation to industrial wastewater and process water.

Experience in various treatment processes, including solid removal techniques and disinfection methods, is essential.

A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in refining, petrochemicals, or the oil and gas sectors.

Proficiency in software tools such as HTRI, FlareNet, Pipeflow, AFT Fathom, AFT Impulse, and GTPRO is expected.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, along with a solid grasp of process engineering principles.
