Position Overview: The Chemical Engineer is currently looking for a Process Safety Specialist to join our expanding team.

Role Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be involved in various projects across multiple sectors, including oil and gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), energy transition, and petrochemical industries.

We are in search of seasoned engineers who possess the determination and dedication to enhance our performance throughout the entire project lifecycle, encompassing study phases, detailed business management, front-end engineering design, and detailed engineering.

Work Environment: This position will follow our standard hybrid work schedule.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct fire and hazard assessments of facilities.
  • Provide insights for fire and gas detection layouts.
  • Oversee the resolution of risk actions and recommendations arising from process hazard analyses.
  • Execute consequence analysis and dispersion modeling.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Complete conceptual studies through to detailed engineering stages.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, primarily in refining, petrochemicals, or oil and gas sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A general understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
  • The ability to coordinate with team members across various locations on multiple projects.
  • Experience in firewater design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with consequence analysis and dispersion modeling is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with PHAST or similar software is preferred.
  • Experience in front-end engineering design and detailed engineering projects is preferred.
