Overview

A typical day for a Healthcare Security Officer:

Your responsibilities will vary depending on your assigned location, but you can anticipate engaging in the following activities:

  • Ensure controlled access to and from the facility, including restricted areas.
  • Observe and react to incidents identified through surveillance systems.
  • Conduct thorough patrols of the premises, looking for potential risks such as unsecured doors, obstructed exits, mechanical failures, hazardous materials, and general security violations.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and emergency assistance requests.
  • Investigate and document any irregularities encountered during your duties.
  • Monitor the safety of patients, ensuring all incidents are recorded and reported as necessary.

Security Professionals are tasked with providing support, empathy, customer service, and public safety to healthcare personnel, visitors, clients, and patients alike. The dynamic settings in which our Security Professionals operate can be both rewarding and stimulating, yet also demanding. Our leading Healthcare managers offer 24/7 support for our team members, focusing on proactively reducing risks and providing real-time guidance during incidents.

  • You are capable of fulfilling all physical job requirements, including walking up to 20 kilometers per shift, navigating stairs, and managing 30-pound doors.
  • You are available to work overnight shifts on weekends.
  • You hold a valid AB Security license or are willing to obtain one before starting your role with Paladin Security.
