Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Profit Centre and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase sales, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth
  • Analyze financial reports and market trends to inform business decisions and optimize operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business growth and improve profitability
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Regional Manager or President

Requirements

  • College and/or University degree
  • Minimum 3 years of wholesale distribution experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a management or leadership role
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity
  • Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to make sound business judgments
  • Create and nurture a positive team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products
  • Knowledge of the construction industry
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse
