Your Role

As a Senior Contracts and Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for the Information Technology (IT) category. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal value across various business units.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement multi-year category sourcing strategies for IT, leveraging best practices to optimize procurement processes.
  • Lead the strategic sourcing process, including RFx initiatives, proposal evaluations, negotiation strategies, contract execution, and ongoing management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction initiatives within the IT category.
  • Manage supplier relationships, establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement in performance and value delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with legal concepts related to proposals, contracting, and contract execution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
Your Skills
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and contracts, including vendor-drafted agreements, licensing arrangements, infrastructure contracting, and professional services agreements.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing complex IT contracts.
  • Ability to develop strategic visions and create actionable plans for implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Your Experience
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with a focus on IT procurement.
  • SCMP designation or other relevant professional certifications are an asset.
