Senior IT Contracts and Procurement Specialist

The role involves developing and implementing strategies for the Information and Technology category, leading sourcing initiatives, procuring assets, and managing supplier contracts, relationships, and performance across various business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of IT systems and contracts
  • Develop and implement multi-year category sourcing strategies
  • Manage sourcing process, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships
  • Facilitate internal cost reduction initiatives and identify savings opportunities
  • Implement supply management methodologies and processes
  • Mentoring junior team members and developing proposals

Skills:

  • Incorporate industry best practices such as IT Infrastructure Library
  • Develop strategic visions and plans for implementation
  • Work as part of a team, network, and build relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and cost modeling skills
  • Contract drafting skills and knowledge of contract law
  • Evaluate and mitigate commercial risks

Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in business or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing IT contracts
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an asset
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  • 5 years experience in an IT related role required
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry an asset
  • Good knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
