Lead Procurement and Contract Specialist

As a Senior Sourcing and Contract Management Expert, you will be responsible for formulating and executing strategies within the Information and Technology sector. This role involves spearheading sourcing initiatives, acquiring assets, and overseeing supplier contracts, relationships, and performance across various business units.

- Possess a robust understanding of IT systems and contracts, including vendor-generated agreements, licensing contracts, infrastructure and application agreements, and professional services contracts.
- Design and execute multi-year category sourcing strategies utilizing industry best practices.
- Oversee the strategic sourcing process, including RFx initiatives, proposal assessments, negotiation tactics, contract finalization, and ongoing management.
- Align market trends, strategies, priorities, and plans effectively.
- Assess complex situations, pinpoint critical issues, leverage data sources, structure intricate analyses, devise solutions, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify and engage with both external and internal stakeholders to meet their requirements.
- Facilitate initiatives aimed at reducing Total Cost of Ownership and uncover savings opportunities.
- Manage supplier contracts and relationships, developing and implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and enhanced value.
- Apply supply management methodologies, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Comprehend legal principles relevant to proposals, contracting, and executing existing agreements.
- Support the mentoring and development of junior and intermediate team members.
- Identify challenges, formulate hypotheses, establish data frameworks, conduct analyses, draw conclusions, and propose actionable recommendations.
- Ability to implement industry best practices such as IT Infrastructure Library.
- Capability to develop strategic visions and create actionable plans.
- Strong teamwork, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in multitasking and effective time management.
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost modeling capabilities.
- Expertise in contract drafting and a solid understanding of contract law.
- Ability to assess and mitigate commercial risks.
- Post-secondary education in business or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing IT contracts is essential.
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or similar certification is advantageous.
- 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Financial acumen is considered beneficial.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (create, populate, update).
