At SMS Equipment Inc., the AHS Liaison Coordinator plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our clients and the organization. This position is essential for coordinating the necessary parts and labor for equipment, while also fostering and enhancing business relationships.

This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule and supports a hybrid work model.

The compensation for this position ranges from $117,000 to $140,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with customers, addressing infrastructure needs to support AHTs and EMVs.
  • Engage with clients by participating in AHS Project Team meetings, leveraging branch resources to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure the development of all necessary processes and programs for efficient contract execution.
  • Keep relevant personnel updated on progress through timely distribution of meeting notes.
  • Oversee the prompt completion and accurate tracking of Factory Campaigns and AHS controller updates.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure adherence to contracts, resolve warranty concerns, and address product issues swiftly.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare reports as needed in collaboration with Global Komatsu and SMS reliability.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and manufacturers, providing customer solutions as a value-added supplier.
  • Support sales initiatives through specialized technical knowledge and product applications, creating new sales opportunities.
  • Promote relevant programs offered by the company in partnership with business owners, contractors, and fleet operators.
  • Regularly report and recommend improvements for product enhancements.
  • Coordinate job tasks, initiate work orders, and manage parts procurement.
  • Monitor and report product issues, providing status updates as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment and meet all regulatory standards.
  • Maintain all required records and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in shop or field service within the heavy equipment sector. Additional qualifications include:

  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repair processes for mining equipment.
  • Strong capability to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage detailed mechanical functions.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to forge strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OH&S acts and regulations, along with equipment inspection standards.
  • Valid Class 5/G driver's license.
  • Journeyperson level trade, engineering, or engineering technology certification is advantageous.

This position requires regular visits to customer locations. Candidates must meet the following access requirements:
