At SMS Equipment Inc. , the Senior Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing strategic client engagement and interactions, while facilitating company operations to meet and uphold SMS policies, objectives, and goals.
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule.
The compensation range for this role is $150,000 - $169,000.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary liaison for the organization, ensuring effective communication between clients and the company.
- Guarantee that customer service delivery aligns with company standards, consistently promoting the corporate image.
- Address client concerns by providing technical assistance on maintenance and operational issues, adhering to established protocols for investigation, reporting, and follow-up.
- Facilitate customer JOIFUL meetings.
- Demonstrate initiative, make informed decisions, and take ownership of resolutions regarding client issues and satisfaction.
- Maintain ongoing communication with relevant branch personnel to ensure a unified approach to customer relations across the region.
- Assist in executing business strategies to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Encourage effective communication among various business units.
- Aid in resource and asset management in alignment with monthly and annual budgets.
- Advocate for and enhance cross-functional team collaboration to optimize the use of internal resources.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate on workforce forecasting, scheduling, and business process management.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary education or trade certification in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment support. Additional qualifications include:
- Experience within the mining sector.
- A self-driven and proactive individual who stays informed about new technologies and best practices related to SMS' products and services.
- Proficient in communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of establishing realistic yet ambitious objectives.
- Skilled in interpreting and conveying contractual agreements.
- Competent in evaluating options and assessing the advantages and risks associated with timely and decisive decision-making.
- Creative in generating innovative ideas and approaches to tackle complex challenges.
- Ability to influence others without direct authority.
This role requires regular travel to client locations. Candidates must be prepared to meet the following access requirements:
