OCAD University is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Design. As a key member of the University's senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Faculty's educational and research development, fostering community and institutional partnerships, and enhancing the student experience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Faculty's educational and research development, ensuring alignment with the University's Academic and Strategic Plan.
- Foster strong community and institutional partnerships to advance the Faculty's goals and objectives.
- Enhance the student experience through innovative programming and support services.
- Develop and implement strategic priorities and initiatives to advance decolonization, equity, and sustainability.
- Promote positive transformation and change within the Faculty of Design.
- Profound expertise and rich experience within the field of design education.
- Strong leadership and program advocacy skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Experience in fostering community and institutional partnerships.
- Commitment to decolonization, equity, and sustainability.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage a budget and excel in fundraising.
