Humber College is seeking a seasoned leader to serve as the Senior Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the Faculty.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Faculty, ensuring the successful design and delivery of the academic and operational plan.
- Lead and foster interdisciplinary collaboration within and across program clusters, Faculties, and organizational departments.
- Ensure the effective delivery of services and financial performance within the Faculty, while conforming to all external accreditation and licensing requirements.
- Develop and maintain mutually supportive partnerships and alliances with stakeholders to ensure the Faculty is an inclusive, student-centered community.
- Post-graduate degree in a field related to the Faculty (PhD achieved or in progress is preferred).
- Successful senior leadership experience in a post-secondary or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder organization.
- Experience operating within a collegial governance structure and unionized environment.
- Knowledge, sensitivity, and ability to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into processes, practices, work culture, and curriculum.
- Experience executing and delivering on academic and operational plans.
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring academic excellence and a passion for teaching, learning, and student success.
