About the Role

Horizon Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Addiction and Mental Health to lead our team in the Saint John region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality, effectiveness, and accessibility of addiction and mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with psychiatry co-leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, internal and external stakeholders, and respond to their needs and concerns
  • Participate in strategic planning for addiction and mental health services
  • Nurture a healthy and safe work environment for all employees
  • Oversee the development and implementation of operational plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of services
  • Prepare and manage budgets
  • Lead regional initiatives and programs
  • Monitor and report on performance indicators
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in health leadership, preferably with experience in addiction and mental health. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, be a skilled collaborator, and have a high proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications. A master's degree in business or healthcare management, or a degree in an affiliated healthcare profession with specialized training in business/management, is required. Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level, and spoken and written French is a strong asset.
