We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Manager to join our team at 1132151 B.C. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our motel, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of quality in all aspects of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Supervision
The Motel Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
Training and DevelopmentThe Motel Manager will conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff are up-to-date with the latest procedures and protocols, and to identify areas for improvement.
Customer ServiceThe Motel Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, and implementing strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
Financial ManagementThe Motel Manager will be responsible for preparing budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures to ensure the motel operates within budget.
Marketing and PromotionThe Motel Manager will develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones, including social media marketing, email marketing, and local advertising.
Maintenance and RepairsThe Motel Manager will be responsible for arranging for and overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring the motel's facilities and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.
Policies and ProceduresThe Motel Manager will be responsible for enforcing policies and procedures, ensuring all staff members are aware of and adhere to them.
Support for Newcomers and RefugeesThe Motel Manager will provide support to newcomers and refugees, including foreign credential recognition, mentorship programs, and on-the-job training.
Support for YouthsThe Motel Manager will offer on-the-job training, mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
Support for Indigenous PeopleThe Motel Manager will develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
Support for Visible MinoritiesThe Motel Manager will apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, offer mentorship programs, and provide a welcoming work environment.
Requirements- Education
A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
Experience1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
LanguageEnglish is the primary language of communication in this role.
Work Hours40 hours per week.
