Position Overview:

We are in search of a driven and enthusiastic analyst to play a pivotal role in enhancing our core data and research offerings related to Energy Transition. As we continuously innovate and broaden our product suite, this position will significantly contribute to our development efforts in North America. Our products are built on a robust foundation of factual data, integrated with advanced in-house data management systems and forecasting tools that simulate the physical and market dynamics influencing global energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research on topics pertinent to our products, focusing on the decarbonization of industries and challenging sectors, advancements in CCUS and Hydrogen technologies, as well as supply and demand assessments, particularly in the U.S. and Canadian markets.
  2. Establish and maintain detailed databases containing factual drivers to aid in the advancement of CCUS and Hydrogen initiatives.
  3. Assist in the development of Global Energy Systems models.
  4. Engage and collaborate with team members across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  5. Participate in the analysis of Rystad Energy data to establish the factual foundation for regular reports and research notes centered on CCUS, Hydrogen, and related energy topics (e.g., bioenergy, synthetic fuels, carbon markets).
  6. Contribute to management consulting projects in the energy transition domain on an as-needed basis.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in fields such as Engineering, Sustainability, Chemicals, Hydrogen, CCUS, General Energy, Economics, Mathematics, or Physics.
  2. 2-3 years of experience in the energy sector is preferred, although recent graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered.
  3. Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills, with the capacity to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  4. A genuine passion for the energy sector, particularly in clean technology and emerging energy solutions.
  5. Proactive, independent, open-minded, and innovative.
  6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  7. Proficient in core Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook).
  8. Familiarity with Power BI is a significant advantage.
  9. Experience with Python and/or SQL is beneficial but not essential for this role.
  10. Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
